Funko has partnered with DC Comics to release exclusive figures of Big Barda and Harley Quinn at New York Comic Con 2023 in October.
Revealed exclusively by Collider, the two upcoming pops are the latest entries into the Pop Heroes line and will be available for purchase only at the convention from Oct. 12 – 15. Both figures are approximately four inches tall and will sell for $15 each. The collectibles will also include a special 2023 NYCC or 2023 Fall Convention sticker on the outside of the box. Big Barda’s figure portrays Jack Kirby‘s antihero in full armor befitting of the elite warrior of Apokolips. Harley Quinn’s figure is modeled after her appearance in the animated series on Max (formerly HBO Max).
What Else is Coming to NYCC 2023?
One of the largest pop culture conventions along the east coast, NYCC draws in many fans of comics, anime, movies and TV each year. With less than a month to go until NYCC 2023 kicks off, more announcements are expected to come in with what fans will be able to experience at the con, and other exclusive Funko pops are likely to be announced. Earlier this month, Marvel announced its NYCC 2023 lineup, including a live recording of the This Week in Marvel podcast and a panel titled ‘Marvel: Next Big Thing’ which will provide a glimpse at what the future holds for the Marvel universe. Crunchyroll also announced its return to NYCC, set to feature premieres of One Piece and Dr. Stone and a special My Hero Academia screening event. Percy Jackson will also be at the con, with the upcoming Disney+ series getting its own panel.
Funko’s line of vinyl collectibles have had a presence at NYCC for years, with each con bringing special pop figures for fans to collect. In past years, Funko has had exclusive figures available only for those in attendance at NYCC (like Big Barda and Harley Quinn are expected to be) while also releasing a variety of pops in tandem with shared retailers that such as Walmart, Hot Topic, Target, Entertainment Earth and others.
The Big Barda and Harley Quinn Funko Pops will be available for purchase at NYCC from Oct. 12 – 15, 2023.
